Lync Presence and IM – Find a Training Plan by User Profile

Select a user profile to find a training plan. The training plan includes a strategy for training the users in the profile, a set of workload/product-specific resources, and recommendations for using the resources based on the user profile.

Low Investment: If you don’t want to provide training for specific user profiles, you can offer generalized training to all user profiles by using the recommendations in the following table. You can post the recommended resources on your organization’s intranet site. Then, through an email awareness campaign, you can make users aware that the resources are available and provide links to the intranet site. The Lync Custom Intranet Site provides a convenient way to set up a Lync-specific Microsoft SharePoint or HTML site. To learn about presence and instant messaging (IM), users should complete the Scenario Spotlights, watch the how-to videos, and download and print the Quick Reference card. Because presence and IM are relatively familiar technologies, users don’t typically require extensive training for this workload.
